Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

A physical therapy assistant is responsible for assisting physical therapists in providing treatment to patients with physical injuries or disabilities. The assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and will help patients with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities. The assistant will also help with patient education and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in providing treatment to patients
• Help patients with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities
• Assist with patient education and record keeping
• Communicate with patients and their families about treatment plans and progress
• Ensure that treatment areas are clean and organized
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting or related field
• Current certification as a physical therapy assistant
• Experience working in a physical therapy setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
