About the event

During this 4 part course, participants will begin with a Intro Webex on April 5th, 2024 from 12-12:30pm, followed by 4 self-studied courses. On April 20th, 2024 we will meet in person and engage in small group activities, discussion, lecture, and case studies to examine the impact of neurocognitive impairments on the rehabilitation process and daily functioning of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Participants will identify the remaining abilities and challenges of persons in all stages of dementia and identify effective stage-specific intervention approaches. Participants will learn effective techniques for managing the behavioral and communication challenges common to each stage of dementia.

Instructors:

  • Elyse Matson, SLP
  • Danielle Banman, OT
  • John Patrick Diaz, PT

You must complete/participate in all 4 parts of this training to earn CEU.
