Once registration closes you will be sent an email with next steps.
You will be required to complete a self-study. The self-study will be assigned through your LMS/Relias. There will be 4 learning modules that can be accessed through the your LMS. The 4 Modules are: Applying the remaining Abilities of Individuals with dementia: Early Stage; Middle Stage; Late Stage; End Stage. These will need to be completed prior to the live in person course on September 21st from 9am-4pm. These are done at your own pase through self-study.
On September 21st you will attend the in person course: During this course, participants will engage in small group activities, discussion, lecture, and case studies to examine the impact of neurocognitive impairments on the rehabilitation process and daily functioning of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Participants will identify the remaining abilities and challenges of persons in all stages of dementia and identify effective stage-specific intervention approaches. Participants will learn effective techniques for managing the behavioral and communication challenges common to each stage of dementia.
