SLP Essentials 2026 - Salt Lake City UT

During this 6-hour day the course participants will engage in small group activities, discussion, lecture, case studies and breakout labs while going through each of the 7 habits of highly effective LTC programming specific to the SLP professionals. Training will range from how to identify patients for SLP services, how to integrate the latest evidence-based practice, how to ensure documentation supports the clinical care provided, we will go over coding: Including ICD-10 and CPT codes. and how the SLP can better integrate into the overall IDT process for long-term care. We will discuss the importance of long-term Care Programming including an introduction to the Abilities Care Approach. Finally, we will discuss the Best Practices in Skilled Maintenance Therapy, and when to initiate course of treatment.
