During four-hour course participants will engage in small group activities, discussion, lecture, and case studies with documentation practice as they identify the wide variety of the various role of SLPs in the skilled nursing facility setting. We will discuss the overview of our insurance models. How to reach career goals in the SNF setting. Participants will discuss clinical best practice in Dysphagia assessment and treatment with case studies. We will go over coding: Including ICD-10 and CPT codes. We will discuss the importance of long-term Care Programming including an introduction to the Abilities Care Approach. Finally, we will discuss the Best Practices in Skilled Maintenance Therapy, and when to initiate course of treatment.
