A huge THANK YOU to all who invested in their SLPs by sending them to the Endura SLP meeting. We had a great, informative day and it’s always great to see everyone in person. It’s more than just a clinical meeting; it’s growing leaders! Three SLPs have stepped into “Multiplier” roles and they help lead our monthly calls and bi-annual meetings.
We covered the following topics:
Functional aspiration & what to do if a patient does not want to follow a recommended diet texture (thanks, Kristin!).
Abilities Care, Abilities Care, Abilities Care (thanks, Jessika & Nicole!).
What is a MSCA and what to do if your building is going through one.
Documentation: reason for referral, justification for skilled services, goal modification, and maintenance programming.

We have started awarding an SLP MVP for clinical excellence. They are nominated by the Therapy Leaders. We awarded Hannah Fox (Malley Transitional Care) with the SLP MVP award for 2025. She has been a huge asset to our market (and other Midwest markets) by building a FEES program at Malley, as well as training on trachs/vents.
We asked the SLPs to fill out a quick survey on this year’s calls/meetings so we can continue to provide value to the field, and there is a resounding comment around loving being able to share and discuss with those in the same role.
And one more thing – we met at Brewability, a restaurant located in Englewood that hires only people with special needs. They were wonderful to work with and their pizza was amazing. If you have a chance to stop by for a slice and a drink, I would love to continue to support their mission.
