Allison Norris joined the team at Pointe Meadows Health and Rehabilitation in Lehi, Utah, in 2019. She grew into the role as the lead OT and then participated in our Director of Rehab (DORiTO) training program, which further enhanced her strengths as a leader and clinician.
Allison’s husband, Scott, is a Hot Shot Wild Firefighter and travels most of each summer. So, she decided to give travel therapy a try and joined the TheraTrooper team (Ensign Affiliated Company). She traveled with TheraTrooper in Washington, Idaho, California, Utah, and Arizona over a two-year period. She and her husband then settled on their decision to remain in Utah permanently. Happily, her team at Pointe Meadows welcomed her back as a full-time OT this summer.
Allison is a great example of how much opportunity there is in our organization for growth and development. She has been a valuable addition to each team she has been a part of, and Pointe Meadows is grateful to have her “home.”
If there are therapists among your ranks who are interested in travel, whether for a permanent change in career or just for a short period of time, TheraTrooper is happy to work with them to see if travel is a good fit for them. Most of our TheraTrooper employment turnover occurs when a TheraTrooper takes a permanent position at an Ensign-affiliated facility. These transitions are zero cost to the facility or the therapist! TheraTrooper is actively growing our team and looking for great PTs, SLPs, and OTs to join us. Reach out to Scott Hollander via CHollander@EnsignServices.net for more information!
